8th March: Sustainability in the music sector


Considering the ecological crisis, the instability of the geopolitical and energy situation in Europe the necessity for a sustainable balance in the music sector is more visible then ever. Today topics are about ecology, inclusion, equity and tour management.

4:30 – Keynotes and introduction

  • Overview : The Footprints carbon calculation results – Garance Amieux (Périscope, FR) & Gwendolenn Sharp (The Green Room, UK)
  • Keynote : Sustainability in the music sector – Hanane Abaydi (Corporate activist, NL) 

5:00 – Panel Discussion : Transition & sustainability: implementation of carbon calculations and low-carbon scenarios. How can the music sector respond to the climate crisis?

9th March: Being a musician in the current times

The improvised music industry thrives and develops through international collaboration. By giving the floor to inspiring artists, we want to show interesting paths and think collectively about the future of the sector. Today topics are about the ecological impact involved by international traveling and financial stability and security in the music industry.

Change of the Century!

The theme of the conference is inspired by Change of the Century, Ornette Coleman. The closure of the Footprints Project as well as the transition to the next Europe Creative Project “Better Live” is celebrated.
