Jan Ole Otnæs

Jan Ole Otnæs’ career as a jazz promoter started in 1969 when he presented Keith Jarrett Trio in his hometown. Jan Ole became the first director of Bodø Kulturhus a new – two venue performing space in Bodø in 1991. He was asked to take over as Artistic Director of Molde Int Jazz Festival in 2001, a position he had until August 2013, when he took over as managing director of Nasjonal Jazzscene – Victoria. Victoria is a 300 cap venue in Oslo presenting around 150 concerts pr year, a variety of unestablished acts and national/ international artists like Chick Corea, Arild Andersen, Brad Mehldau, Joshua Redman, Nils Petter Molvær, DeeDee Bridgewater, Bugge Wesseltoft, Esperanza Spalding, Cassandra Wilson, John McLaughlin etc.
