One of the main horizontal values of the Footprints project is the ecological responsibility of the music sector. The ongoing pandemics has exposed the already existing challenges that the sector is facing and made us realize the burning necessity to start embracing the responsibilities of our activities. However, in order to efficiently approach this issue, we need to be aware of the main factors and activities that increase our impact on the environment. It requires thorough and unbiased research as well as carbon footprints calculations that show what we can do and how we can streamline our activities without putting the burden on artists or compromising artistic values. How to maintain the balance between the artistic choices and ecological responsibility as well as how to make our events greener is the topic of our discussion.
